Hi, I'm Katie Day Schwartz.

About Me — I live in Atlanta, Georgia, and am a Junior at The Mount Vernon School. What makes me tick?  All things creative, especially drawing digital art and listening to a wide variety of music. I love English and History, too! — My Goal — My primary goal is to secure an internship in either User Experience or Marketing. I am eager to observe, absorb and contribute in any way I can - getting coffee, making photocopies, organizing information - you name it and I am game!  Simply put, I am excited about the opportunity to experience what the professional universe holds and to potentially work in an office setting. — Another Summer goal is to take a self-paced course in AI, Design Thinking or UX. I am looking into Ideo, Bring AI to the Design Thinking Process and Accenture, Digital Skills: User Experience.

Mount Vernon Brand Office Internship

Following my User Experience Design class, I was approached by the class's teacher, Sarah Royal, with an incredible opportunity. Ms. Royal, who is also the Director of Web Development and Digital Experience at Mount Vernon, created an internship for me in the Brand Office, where I worked alongside her and our Chief Brand Officer.
iProject Class: Veracross Redesign

In my iProject class, we were asked to identify ANY issue, research ways to improve the issue, create a solution and then present the issue and its solution to the class and a panel of professionals. I selected to redesign the student, parent and Admin portal, Veracross.
